GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE, LOCAL SOLUTIONS
The SWP Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb Program
The SWP is looking for K-12 educators in each UP county to take on classroom projects this school year. Kits of CFLs contain twelve 18-watt (equivalent to a 75-watt incandescent) bulbs. And, yes, they are free.
If you are a K-12 educator in the UP and are interested in this project or just want to find out more information, contact Mary Martin at our office (906)288-6095.
Through this project we will reduce up to 3200 tons (6.4 million pounds) of CO2 emissions annually.
The SWP is working with MARESA, MooseWood Nature Center and other partners to incorporate area K-12 youth in the program.
Are you a K-12 educator and interested in doing a classroom section on Energy Conservation? This is a perfect opportunity. Call Mary Martin at the SWP office for more information.
How do you deal with broken CFLS? Broken CFL Guidelines
The Superior Watershed Partnership and various partners are offering VERY LOW COST Level I and II energy audits for homes, churches, and businesses. Call our office for more information at (906)228-6095.
